Hive Share Program

Our Hive-Share Program offers you a unique opportunity to support bees and reap the rewards without all of the work; what a sweet deal! You can sponsor a hive which is located in our apiary. We will manage the hive for you, send regular newsletters to provide updates on the bees, their activity dependent on the season, as well as info about the activity in the bee yard.  A variety of levels offers you the engagement at your level of interest.  Beekeeping is an expensive and time-intensive pursuit, this allows you the benefits without all the responsibility.  Your sponsorship through the hive-share program allows you to make a direct positive impact on the health and sustainability of the bees as well as the surrounding environment in the greater Cincinnati area.

Full-Hive Share; $375

You are able to sponsor an entire hive for a full year.  Hive sponsorship includes:

  • A certificate of sponsorship emailed to you including your hive number
  • Your name will be added to our Bee-Supporter thank you list on the webpage
  • 4 pounds of honey from your hive.
  • The option to have custom labels printed for your honey; they make great gifts
  • The opportunity to visit your bees on special days during the season
  • A regular newsletter -emailed with personal updates about the hive and apiary.
  • 5% discount on products and special rates on additional services.

Half-a-Hive Share; $200

You will sponsor half a hive for an entire year; no more than two per hive will be sold

  • A certificate of sponsorship for half a hive will be emailed to you including your hive number
  • Your name will be added to our Bee-Supporter thank you list on the webpage
  • 2 pounds honey from your hive.
  • The option to have custom labels printed for your honey; they make great gifts
  • The opportunity to visit your bees on special days during the season
  • A regular newsletter -emailed with personal updates about the hive and apiary.

A Quarter-Hive Share; $125

You will support a quarter of a hive for a year; no more than four will be sold per hive

  • A certificate of sponsorship of a quarter-hive will be emailed to you including your hive number
  • Your name will be added to our Bee-Supporter thank you list on the webpage
  • 1 pound of honey from your hive.
  • The opportunity to visit your bees on special days during the season
  • A regular newsletter -emailed with personal updates about hive

Friends of the Bees; $25

  • A certificate of sponsorship emailed
  • Your name will be added to our Bee-Supporter thank you list on the webpage
  • A sweet token can be mailed to you
  • An opportunity to visit the bees on a special day during the season
  • A regular newsletter emailed to you.
